David W. Broome, President &
Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Broome serves as Chairman of
the Board of Directors for
TransForce. He is responsible
for strategy creation and
implementation for the
corporation and it's
subsidiaries. He has led
TransForce since its creation in
1991 and during that time, Mr.
Broome has been nominated for a
number of Entrepreneur of the
Year and growth awards. He has
become widely known as a
cutting-edge leader in the
transportation workforce
industry.
Prior to joining TransForce, Mr.
Broome was a sales executive in
the transportation industry with
three different Fortune 500
transportation and trucking
companies.
Mr. Broome is a University of
Tennessee graduate with a degree
in transportation and logistics.
Howard Fowler, Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Fowler joined TransForce in 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Fowler has nearly 20 years of experience in financial management and accounting. Immediately prior to joining TransForce, Howard was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a $500 million division of an international aviation services company. In previous positions, Howard held progressively more responsible financial management roles in labor-intensive services companies. Howard spent six years in public accounting with an emphasis in the healthcare industry, including a stint as an Audit Manager with a Big 4 CPA firm.
Howard holds an MS in Accounting from James Madison University and a BS in Accounting from George Mason University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is Certified in Financial Management (CFM). He has taught accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Larry G. Parrotte, Chief
Operating Officer.
Mr. Parrotte joined TransForce
in 2007 and brings over 25 years
of operations and sales
management experience
in outsourced services and
contract staffing to our team.
Prior to joining TransForce
Larry owned and managed an
Executive Search Firm and
previously served as Senior Vice
President with AHL Services, an
$800M diverse outsourced
solutions provider. Larry's
experience includes senior
management oversight of
logistics and transportation
operations for commercial,
industrial, government,
aviation, and academic client
locations.
Mr.
Parrotte holds a BA from the
State University of New York at
Albany and an MBA from Loyola.
Cassie Smith, Vice President of
Human Resources.
Cassie Smith joined TransForce, Inc. in 2001 to head up the Human Resources Department. She has over 20 years of experience in all facets of HR with a background in transportation and logistics and has served as a consultant to various companies. She holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology, a Masters degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Professional in Human Resources.
Joe Dolan, Vice President of
Operations.
Mr. Dolan joined TransForce in
1999 as General Manager of the
Alexandria Branch. His successes
in the branch lead into the
promotion of an Area Manager
overseeing multiple branches. In
2005, Joe was appointed to
Director of Operations and in
2006 appointed Vice President of
Operations. Prior to joining
TransForce, Mr. Dolan spent 7
years as the General Manager for
The Airport Connection where he
logistically operated all of the
ground transportation to and
from the Baltimore Washington
Airport.
Mr. Dolan is a Towson State
graduate with a degree in
Business Management.
Robert S. Abbott,
Vice President of Safety &
Compliance - TransForce Inc,
Managing Director - TransForce Services Group.
Rob Abbott is the Vice President
of Safety and Compliance for
TransForce, Inc. In this
capacity, he oversees employee
training and management controls
to ensure that TransForce’s
offices are compliant with the
Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Regulations (FMCSRs). He also
oversees TransForce’s safety and
risk management programs which
focus on accident and injury
reduction.
In addition to these
responsibilities, Mr. Abbott
serves as Managing Director of
TransForce Services Group (TSG),
a nationwide professional
services firm that helps client
companies understand and comply
with Federal regulations.
Specifically, TSG conducts
compliance risk assessments,
provides management training,
and offers value added
compliance services.
Prior to joining TransForce, Mr.
Abbott was the Director for
Safety Policy for the American
Trucking Associations (ATA).
While at ATA, Mr. Abbott
assisted the association’s
members in understanding and
complying with the Federal
regulations. To that end, he
developed training curricula and
taught safety and compliance
courses for ATA’s training
division, the North American
Transportation Management
Institute. He was also
responsible for advocating the
industry’s interests before
regulatory agencies on matters
relating to motor carrier
safety, including drug and
alcohol testing, driver
qualification processes and the
assignment of company safety
ratings. In that capacity, he
successfully helped several
members challenge their
unsatisfactory safety ratings.
Finally, he was responsible for
tracking the safety record of
the industry and serving as an
industry spokesman on matter
relating to truck safety trends.
Mr. Abbott is a member of ATA’s
Safety Policy Committee, the ATA
Safety and Loss Prevention
Management Council’s Regulations
Committee, the National Private
Truck Council and the Commercial
Vehicle Safety Alliance. He has
testified before the Federal
Motor Carrier Safety
Administration on matters
relating to commercial motor
vehicle safety and has had
several articles published in
trade publications including
Transport Topics.
John Coluni, Vice President of Business Development.
Mr Coluni joined TransForce in 2002 as a Regional Sales Manager. He was promoted to Strategic Account Manger in 2004. He managed $ 5,000,000 in Strategic Account Business with a growth rate of 27% . He was promoted in May of 2005 as Director of Strategic Accounts over seeing $ 23,000,000 of Strategic Account Business. Prior to TransForce, he has over 10 years additionally spent in the industrial staffing arena.
