Don’t Be a Seat Belt Statistic.

Nearly 27.5 million people still don’t practice seat belt safety. In 2017 alone, seat belts saved an estimated 14,955 lives and could have saved an additional 2,549 people if they had been wearing a seat belt.

Seat belts have been proven to be one of the best ways to save your life in a crash. Yet many still don’t buckle up. Worst of all, impressionable kids learn from our actions and if you don’t wear a seat belt they’re likely to think it’s safe to throw their own seat belt safety out the window.

The Click It or Ticket campaign focuses on safety education, strong laws, and law enforcement officers saving lives. From May 20 to June 2, cops across the nation will be stepping up enforcement to ensure that motorists are wearing their seat belts as an effort to help prevent crash fatalities. Because there’s no excuse good enough for not buckling up.
